Reflecting on this time of year reminds us of the changing from the old to new, the cold of winter being replaced with the newness of spring. Where there was once death, now life. We celebrate Easter not only because our debt has been paid for us, but because of the hope we have in Christ Jesus! His death on Good Friday and resurrection on Easter Sunday redeems us - every hurt, every tear, every impossibly difficult situation. Our darkest and our lowest - all made new. As we celebrate this gift given to the entire world, remember: no matter what you are going through right now, don’t lose hope. He is risen!
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!”
